Celgard and Farasis entered into an agreement that settles the U.S. patent infringement litigation and the global disputes between the two companies. Celgard also added Senior-China back in as a defendant in Celgard’s California patent case and moved the North Carolina trade secret case back to the California court.
The necessary regulatory approvals are complete and the joint venture (JV) has been established between Polypore and Shanghai Energy New Materials Technology Co., Ltd. (SEMCORP) as Jiangxi Enpo New Materials Co., Ltd. in Gaoan City, Jiangxi Province, People's Republic of China.
Celgard Successful in UK Appeal Court, Keeping Injunction Against Senior UK Battery Separator Import
The Court of Appeal’s dismissal of Senior’s appeal supports the UK High Court’s Judgement in favor of Celgard, which not only granted the injunction against Senior, but also held that Celgard had established an arguable case that Senior had used its trade secrets in developing and manufacturing battery separators and that England was the proper forum for the importation dispute.
Celgard, LLC (Celgard), a subsidiary of Polypore International, LP (Polypore), recently filed an application for an urgent injunction against Shenzhen Senior Technology Material Co., Ltd. (Senior) in the High Court of Justice in London, England.
